Hollywood movie star in Victoria-Falls

HOLLYWOOD movie star, Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas have become the latest high profile celebrities to visit Africa’s adventure capital Victoria Falls in yet another endorsement of the resort town as a “must visit” and globally competitive tourism destination.
The OSCAR award-winning actress and her husband sneaked into the country this Monday in the company of their children Dylan and Carys.
They were mesmerised by the splendour of the majestic Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe’s hospitality.
As part of their tour, the family visited a popular Elephant sanctuary in Victoria Falls and had a wonderful experience interacting with the jumbos.
In her social media post, the Chicago actress wrote, ‘Greetings from Zimbabwe,’ and added ‘Watching the ballet that is the elephants bathing, Beauty in nature nurtures the soul.’
The Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones who rose to fame through films which include, ‘The Mask of Zorro’ and ‘Entrapment’ comes at a time tourists continue to disregard the misguided reports and fake news suggesting the world’s most spectacular curtain of falling water has dried up.
The legendary waterfall and geological marvel has over the years attracted many celebrities from across the globe.
The movie star joins a list of notable stars in the world of entertainment and politics who have also sampled the magic of Victoria Falls.
Hollywood movie star, Will Smith, Renowned American comedian and television host Steve Harvey and wife Marjorie, Professional wrestler, Shawn Michaels, movie star and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the late pop icon Michael Jackson, RnB singer Joe Thomas among others.
