Highlanders confirm appointment of Mark Harrison

BULAWAYO giants, Highlanders have confirmed the appointment of former Harare City Coach, Mark Harrison as Technical Manager on a two year contract.
The position fell vacant after Dutchman, Hendrik Pieter De Jongh left to join champions, FC Platinum. Bosso were swift to engage Harrison with Highlanders Chairman, Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, revealing that the former Caps united and Harare City coach is the right man for the job as they seek to mount a serious title challenge.
“We feel that he is the best candidate as he also has a good understanding of Zimbabwean football. This year we are challenging for the championship so we chose to go with Harrison whom we feel has the capacity to deliver it to us,” said Rtd Col. Mhlophe
The rest of the Bosso technical team remains unchanged with the Englishman expected in the country once his work permit is processed.
A holder of UEFA and CAF coaching badges, Harrison has vast knowledge of Aftican football having coached Mpumalanga Black Aces, Chippa United and Golden Arrows in South Africa as well as Township Rollers in Botswana.
Stints at Caps United and Harare City have also left him with a good understanding of Zimbabwean football.
