Herentals Queens’ cling on to pole position

HERENTALS Queens have opened up a four point gap at the top of the Women’s Super League after walloping Borrow Jets five-nil at the weekend.

Herentals Queens confirmed their title credentials after reaching the halfway stage of the season at the top of the Women’s Super League.

While some teams have outstanding fixtures, that has not stopped Herentals from confirming that they have what it takes to win the league after thumping Borrow Jets 5-nil to open up a four point gap between them and second placed Chapungu.

The students are on 34 points followed by Chapungu and Black Rhinos on 30 points.

Chapungu got the better of Correctional Queens with a 3-1 win, while Black Rhinos were not in action at the weekend.

Correctional Queens complete the top four with 21 points while Harare City are fifth with 19 points.

Faith Drive and Black Mambas are sixth and seventh with 15 points each, while MSU Queens and Conduit Academy are eighth and ninth, with 13 points apiece.

Yadah are tenth with 12 points after 11 outings.

The bottom four comprises Mutare City Rovers with six points, Borrow Jets and Scorpion Queens on six points as well as bottom placed Chipembere Queens with three points.
