Wounded Herentals and Yadah are gearing up for a clash that could determine their fate in the Chibuku Super Cup at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Herentals have only picked up two points from their four matches and are hoping for a change of fortunes when they meet equally troubled Yadah.
The Students have a solid defence but have been struggling upfront where they have scored just two goals.
Yadah is a bogey side but we have to win, we have been working on that, remember we are using this cup as a pre-season but we are going to win on Saturday, said Herentals Coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva.
Meanwhile, Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic continued his engagement with local coaches and this Wednesday met Black Rhinos Coach Herbert Maruwa and his Cranborne Bullets counterpart Nesbert Saruchera, as part of preparations for COSAFA Senior men’s championship and CHAN qualifiers.
I haven’t watched local football and at CHAN I had to rely on my assistants so now I decided to go out and meet the coaches so they can recommend players and I also understand more about the game from coach to coach,he said.
Since his appointment, Logarusic has not had the opportunity to watch local football due to the Covid-19 pandemic but the Chibuku Super Cup has provided a perfect chance.
The COSAFA tournament is set for July with the draw set for this Friday.
