Free-scoring Platinum clubs face solid Bulawayo Giants

FREE-scoring Platinum sides, Ngezi and FC Platinum are set to face a new challenge in the quarter-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup with Chicken Inn and Highlanders lying in wait.

Ngezi Platinum Stars and FC Platinum are the highest scorers in the Chibuku Super Cup so far after notching 16 goals apiece.

Ngezi have been powered by striker Bruno Mutigo who is the tournament’s top goalscorer with six goals and two assists.

Denver Mukamba with two goals and four assists has been pulling the strings in the middle of the park alongside Marvelous Mukumba.

With all that firepower they face a Chicken Inn side that has only conceded twice in six outings.

The Gamecocks have a solid backline marshalled by veteran Moses Jackson and goalkeeper Donovan Bernard.

Just like Dynamos, the Gamecocks are still to taste defeat having won four matches and drawn two.

Much anticipation is also on the clash between defending champions Highlanders and 2019 finalists FC Platinum.

FC Platinum has also found the back of the net 16 times and in Rodwell Chinyengetere who has scored four goals and Silas Songani with three, they have an arsenal that can destroy any team.

The two sides always produce epic matches and much is expected with a solid looking Highlanders having let in just two goals.

Bosso have however struggled at the other end of the pitch scoring just four goals.

Dynamos who will clash with Black Rhinos in the other quarterfinal, are also looking good as they are yet to taste defeat and have conceded just two goals.

Dembare have been specialists of one-nil wins and will face a Rhinos side that has been lukewarm.

Cranborne Bullets who surprised all with their performances still await to find out who they will face between Harare City and ZPC Kariba.
