AMERICAN musician, Rihanna’s Fenty beauty range has been officially launched in Zimbabwe.

The much-awaited beauty range is finally in Zimbabwe in what the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa described as a sign that Zimbabwe is indeed open for business.

“This shows that as a country we have done well in our image building initiatives and we are indebted to her for believing in Zimbabwe as a market that will give her return of investment. You see, His Excellency President Mnangagwa was serious when he said Zimbabwe is open for business. Surely after seeing billionaires like Rihanna heeding to the President’s call, we cannot remain skeptical,” said Minister Mutsvangwa.

The official distributor for Fenty Zimbabwe, Mrs Karen Mutasa, says it is an honour to be working with Rihanna.

“We are so excited to be able to do this for the men and women of Zimbabwe to be able to bring this iconic brand to our country,” she said.

The launch event, which was staged in Harare Thursday night, was attended by various influential people from business to socialites.

“We can’t wait to sample the products. And we are happy that the products are now locally available instead of us buying online,” said Madam boss.

The more the products, the more the competition, so we welcome the brand to our country,” said Monica Chanda Radio personality.

The Fenty brand, which comes in 50 shades of make-up, is also launching in seven other African countries that are Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Botswana, Kenya, Namibia and Zambia.
