Visiting Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has toured the National Heroes Acre this morning to appreciate the history of the country’s struggle for independence.

President Lukashenko laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

National Heroes Acre Curator Ms Rumbidzai Bvira explained the significance of murals at the national shrine.

President Lukashenko and President Mnangagwa are also expected to hold bilateral talks at the State House where various agreements will be signed.

The two presidents will later launch the second phase of the Belarus Mechanisation Programme at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering in Hatcliffe, as the country’s capacitation of the agriculture sector gathers pace.
