Fastjet launches Bulawayo-Johannesburg route

A new flight was introduced today between Bulawayo and Johannesburg by Fast Jet as part of efforts to increase accessibility into Zimbabwe.

The new weekday flight increases the number of flights between Bulawayo and Johannesburg to 12, enabling travelers to get to a wide choice of flights.

The Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Honourable Barbra Rwodzi, who was dressed in a fast jet hostess outfit, said the new flight is set to boost the tourism sector.

Airports Company of Zimbabwe chief executive officer Mr Tawanda Gusha said the introduction of the Johannesburg-Bulawayo route will increase capacity utilisation at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport.

The new route is a testimony of how the government of Zimbabwe is working towards increasing accessibility into the country.
