Exit & entry travel process guided by current lockdown order: Govt

By ZBC Reporter
THE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade has dismissed as misleading, an article circulating on social media, inviting the public to apply for permission to travel.
Spokesperson of the ministry of foreign affairs, Constance Chemwayi, said her ministry has not issued such an invitation to the public, and has also not outsourced a travel agency identified as The Savvy to work on its behalf.
She said the citation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is unwarranted and the contact numbers stated on the article do not reflect those of the Ministry.
Chemwayi said while there is a procedure to the exit and entry process guided by the current National Lockdown Order, the fake statement on social media is not official and must be ignored.
Zimbabwe is currently under a national lockdown which enforces various restrictions on travel as the country seeks to curb the spread of the deadly virus which has so far claimed lives of 102 people and infected 4 575 since it was first detected in March this year.
