Every deserving Zimbabwean should get relief food: Edna Madzongwe

Zanu PF Politburo member, Edna Madzongwe has warned those distributing relief food against dividing people along political lines.
Addressing a Zanu PF Mashonaland West provincial coordinating committee meeting over the weekend, Madzongwe said the government’s position as enunciated by President Emmerson Mnangagwa is that every Zimbabwean should have access to food aid.
“Relief food should also be provided to urban voters. It is not only for those in rural areas, and it should be given to any deserving beneficiaries no matter their political affiliation. The President said Every Zimbabwean should have food, he did not say some Zanu pf members only,’’ she said.
Meanwhile, Zanu PF Mashonaland West provincial chairman, Ziyambi Ziyambi called on fellow provincial executive members to desist from interfering with grassroots politics, especially when it comes to the election of district and cell chairpersons.
“There should be no replacement of elected chairpersons at the instigation of provincial executive members, anyone who victimizes those in district structures will face disciplinary action,’’ said Ziyambi.
The call minister Ziyambi comes as ZANU PF is in the process of reconstituting its grass roots structures.
