LOCAL football giants, Dynamos and Highlanders are expected to transform their administration of the game, with a capacity-building engagement organised by the clubs’ sponsor, Sakunda Holdings seeking to have an impact.
The three-day retreat in Victoria will see the two clubs who are sponsored by Sakunda Holdings going through intensive sessions to look at various aspects including sustainability and club resourcing.
Renowned sports administrators that include the president of Sports Leaders Institute of Zimbabwe Russel Mhiribidi and the President of the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe, Desmond Maringa, among others, are also in attendance.
Sakunda Holdings believes with the proper management the two clubs can compete in the region.
“We are looking at the way we do things, Sport unites everyone and it is a place where we share memories, for us, it’s a privilege we are hoping that our involvement will go beyond a year or two but we are looking at creating a new generation of excellence,” said Magwizi.
The two clubs are happy with adopting the modern-day practice.
“We are happy at being assisted not only financially but also in capacity building,” said Moyo.
The two clubs brought their executives as well as their legends for the workshop that will end this Friday.
