THE Mighty Warriors host Mauritius in back to back first round matches to be played in the same week running from 6 to 14 April.
A win in that phase will see Zimbabwe play either Mozambique or Zambia who are paired together in the first round.
Home and away legs of the second round of qualifiers shall be played from 1 – 9 June.
Thirty-six teams are competing for the 12 slots available in this year’s expanded finals.
Previous editions accommodated only eight teams.
Eight teams including Champions Nigeria are exempted from playing the first round but they will play the second and final round of qualifiers to determine 11 finalists.
The twelfth team will be the hosts who are yet to be confirmed following the withdrawal of DRC as hosts.
The finals will run from 28 November to 12 December.
Zimbabwe failed to qualify for the finals in Cameroon after losing to rival and neighbours Zambia and failing to turn up for the return leg over allowances and payments protests.
