FORMER Warriors Centre Back Costa Nhamoinesu has retraced his footsteps back to Czech Republic giants Sparta Prague where he has been roped into the club’s scouting and player management structures.

The lanky defender’s Jersey Number 26 has also been retired.

Nhamoinesu becomes the first African player to receive such an honour in the Czech Republic in recognition of his unconditional service and loyalty to Sparta Prague.

The latest move marks a landmark achievement for the former Warrior’s defender who had a glittering career, spanning more than a decade in Central Europe.

His playing days may be over, but Sparta Prague’s supporters still eat from his feat.

Nhamoinesu is rekindling his romance at the Czech Republic giants Sparta Prague, where he established himself as a legend, a colossus of shutting out the opponent before he left two years ago.

Last season, Nhamoinesu played for Kerala Blasters in India where he spent eight months between October 2020 and June 2021.

In Zimbabwe, the Chitungwiza bred star cut his teeth at Darryn T before playing for Amazulu and Masvingo United.
