Newly promoted Premier Soccer League side, Cranborne Bullets, are satisfied with their preparations ahead of their debut season in elite league.
Newly promoted premier soccer football side, Cranborne Bullets are hoping to break the norm which has seen teams failing to secure their top-flight league status as they are satisfied with their preparations ahead of their debut season in Premier Soccer League.
The Bullets who were promoted from the Northern Region Division One Soccer League last season are working round the clock to ensure they achieve their target.
Speaking to ZBC News at their training ground -Morris Depot in Harare, Cranborne Bullets coach Nesbert “Yabo’’ Saruchera, who is also Zimbabwe Under 23 assistant coach said they are moving in the right direction and optimistic of avoiding relegation.
“Our preparations for the upcoming season are going on well and all we are aiming for is to stay in the Premier Soccer League, we want to avoid being relegated at all costs,” said Saruchera.
Although most teams have been busy on the transfer market, Saruchera believes in maintaining the core of the team.
“Like I always say, I believe in giving the guys who did us the job into a promotion from Division One a chance. Of course, we have added four new boys but they will have to blend with the current crop of players we have at hand,” he said.
Cranborne Bullets were the first Division One side to get promotion into the elite league last year after dispatching Grain Tigers 1-0 on the 19th of October last year.
For coach Yabo, this is the third time in his coaching career to help a Division One team win promotion into the premiership after guiding prisons outfit Flame Lily and Black Rhinos.
