Covid-19 Response: Corporates assisting government in Covid 19 fight

As the fight to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic continues; more corporate entities continue to offer their support to the government of Zimbabwe through various ways.
Corporates continue to respond to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s call to assist government in the fight against the Coronavirus.
Chemical manufacturing company, Omnicam donated detergents towards the cause while Innscor Africa Limited has also set up various initiatives towards the fight against the virus
” We have set up a call center for the ministry of information to the tube of 3 million rtgs, we will be paying their salaries,” said Chipo Ndudzo-Managing director- Providence Human capital-innscir Africa Limited
Solidarity Trust Zimbabwe which entered into a partnership with government and the Catholic Church in the refurbishment of St Anne’s hospital will also chip in by offering affordable health care.
” The hospital will be open to everybody, it will be taking medical aid and will also be offering free medication to those who cannot afford,” said Karen Mutasa-Solidarity trust Zimbabwe.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa welcomed the support from the corporate world as the country pushes forward with the fight against Covid-19.
“I am so delighted that the skills and expertise you are exhibiting it’s hardly found in Zimbabweans and am happy that you are coming forward this means that government will therefore focus more on areas which the private sector has not touched on,’ said President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
There has been overwhelming response from the corporate sector as various organisations and entities have come on board assisting government in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
