Corporates urged to embrace customer relationship management technology

BUSINESSES have been urged to embrace customer relationship management technology as a catalyst for economic and social growth.

The role of customers in business growth and sustainability was emphasised at this year’s 10th anniversary of the Contact Centre Association of Zimbabwe’s 10th annual service excellence awards.

Guest of honour at the event, the Minister of Information Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, who was represented by the director of media services in the same ministry, George Chisoko spoke at length on how businesses must harness service excellence to ensure competitive advantage.

“The services sector is growing in Africa and this is the time for the private sector to seriously consider investing in customer service initiatives for the growth and sustenance of businesses.

Corporates that excelled in customer services in various categories which include telecommunications, insurance, health, education and the pharmaceuticals sector were recognised for their efforts in providing distinctive quality service.
