Church service held for national hero, Engineer Chidawu

A church service has been held for the late national hero Engineer Oliver Chidawu at his home in Umwinsdale, Harare this Sunday.

The church service attracted thousands of people from relatives, business community, ZANU PF leadership among others.

Family members gave emotional testimonies of how the late National Hero Chidawu balanced the crucial role of a father, executive mayor, breadwinner and politician.

The late national hero’s body will be taken to Charles Gumbo Barracks where it will lay in state before burial this Monday.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and National Heritage Mr. Aaron Nhepera told the Zbc News that all is set for the burial of Engineer Chidawu at the National Heroes Acre this Monday.
