The Chitepo Ideological College has roped in public officials in its training programmes, with 600 directors from various government departments having gone through an intensive training programme.
This was revealed by the Principal Cde Munyaradzi Machacha at a ZANU PF Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting in Bindura on Sunday.
“We have trained over 600 directors at ZIPAM and we are on the same page. We agreed with the public service commission that in the next few weeks we will train permanent secretaries. We even recommended that our officials go to the Nyerere School of Leadership in Tanzania and they excelled there among other trainees,” said Cde Machacha.
The newly-elected ruling party officials from the youth league and those who will make it into the Women’s League will also go through the same training programme.
ZANU PF Politburo member, Cde Kenneth Musanhi stressed the need for unity to foster development.
“We need to tighten our belts for the party to win in the elections. Our province is known as one which delivers, we are the best in the country when it comes to ZANU PF. We win a hundred percent,” he said.
The Herbert Chitepo Ideological College was designed to instill the party’s ideology, values and political consciousness in line with the country’s development agenda.
