Chicken Inn face stern test in Bulawayo derby

AMBITIOUS Premier Soccer League side Chicken Inn are bracing for a stern test of character when they clash with Giants Highlanders in a Bulawayo derby slated for Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

Chicken Inn’s title pedigree will come under the microscope when the Gamecocks clash with Highlanders at Barbourfields stadium on Sunday.
Chicken Inn Head Coach, Joey Antipas is alive to the fact that they will need to be at their best to collect maximum points.
“One of those derbies but we are expecting a thriller because Highlanders fans will come in their numbers. Of late, Highlanders are playing good football but we will give it all to keep pace with other contenders,” said Antipas.
Despite being kept guessing on the fate of their abandoned FC Platinum game, Highlanders head coach, Mandla Mpofu is promising fireworks in the much anticipated derby.
“Those are some of the things which happen in football and referees are human beings but we are ready for Chicken Inn. They will need to be at their best to go past us if they are entertaining any title aspirations,” he said.
Chicken Inn are level on points with log leaders, Dynamos on 26 points from 12 matches, while Highlanders lie 10th on the log with 14 points.
