Chevrons march towards victory

In the second One Day International match currently underway at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele, Sri Lanka have now reached 114 for the loss of 4 wickets after 23 overs.

Blessing Muzarabani has managed to pick two wickets, while Tendai Chatara and Wesley Madhevere have weighed in with a wicket apiece.

In their innings Zimbabwe’s Chevrons posted 302 for the loss of 8 wickets with Captain Craig Ervine scoring 91 runs from 98 balls.

Sikander Raza chipped in with 56, while Sean Williams scored 48 runs from 56 balls.

Regis Chakabva managed 47 runs from 50, while his opening partner Takudzwanashe Kaitano chipped in with 26.

The hosts are leading the series after winning the first ODI on Sunday.
