THE Chevrons lost the third T20 against Bangladesh by five wickets at Harare Sports Club to hand the visitors a 2-1 series victory.
The Chevrons handed Bangladesh the series win after failing to defend a substantial score of 193 runs.
The young opening pair of Wessly Madhevere and Tadiwanashe Marumani gave the team a good platform with a partnership of 63 before Marumani was dismissed.
In form Regis Chakabva joined Madhevere at the crease and he scored a quick-fire 48 in another half century partnership.
Bangladesh applied the brakes on the score with two quick wickets however Ryan Burl hit some nasty blows at the backend of the Zimbabwean innings to lead the team to its highest score at home.
In reply, the hosts will rue some missed chances and bad decision making after Bangladesh was able to reach the target with four balls to spare.
Zimbabwe couldn’t take any of the six chances they created and with another defeat, pressure is mounting on coach Lalchand Rajput.
The Indian coach has won just three games against test playing nations in the 79 games he has overseen.
