THE Zimbabwe national cricket team is leaving nothing to chance as they prepare for the T20 series decider against Bangladesh at Harare Sports Club this Tuesday.
It’s all to play for as the Zimbabwe national cricket team, the Chevrons, face visiting Bangladesh in the T20 series decider.
The Chevrons bagged the first match convincingly before the Tigers restored parity with a clinical performance in the second match.
Chevrons Coach Dave Houghton has challenged his boys to have a positive mindset.
“we need to continue the way we have been playing because if we do so we give ourselves every chance of winning matches, yes we will lose some but definitely we are positioning ourselves for a win,” he said.
Cricket expert Dean du Plessis weighed in calling for consistency.
“Zimbabwe don’t need to go back to their old selves where they get back into their shelves after losing a match, they need to continue fighting and play positive cricket,” noted Duplesis.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh captain Nurul Hasan has been ruled out of the rest of the Zimbabwe tour after a finger injury during his side’s seven-wicket win in the second T20I in Harare on Sunday.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board is yet to announce the captain for the decider, but it is likely that Litton Das, who led Bangladesh in a solitary T20I last year, will be the stand-in captain.
