Good times are rolling for Premier Soccer League Side Caps United after the Harare giants entered into a partnership with a local beverage manufacturing company ahead of the resumption of local football on the 15th of this month.
Caps United Head of Media and Communications Raymond Gonte said the 130 000 Zimbabwe dollar sponsorship package comes as a huge relief to Caps United in their quest to be a professional entity.
We are excited about this partnership which ends in 2024. However, this is part of our commercialisation drive. As you are aware Caps United is a big brand and we are positive this will bolster the players and officials as they will be getting monthly hampers, he said.
Coover Bottlers Managing Director Faraimose Kutadzaushe said the marriage o hinges on building a solid footing for the club to be successful.
As a person who is well travelled I have seen the power in partnerships hence this move. We are young and we are aggressive so we want to make sure this brand grows through this move. It is our belief that if clubs are well catered for it, becomes easy for them to focus on delivering on the field of play, he noted.
The partnership between Caps United and Coover Bottlers which has an escalation clause has an initial pay-out of 30 000 Zimbabwe dollars in the first year which will go up to 50 000 during the three years.
