ZANU PF says the Binga North by-election will be a correction of past voting mistakes that saw the seat going to the opposition.
During a rally held at Binga’s Sinakoma area, the party leadership urged the electorate to redefine March 26, as a watershed moment of development.
“Previously you have supported the opposition. But this is a new dispensation and an opportunity to correct even our choices,” said Richard Moyo, Zanu PF Matabeleland North Provincial Chairperson.
The party’s candidate, Kuda Munsanka has received overwhelming backing, amid calls to focus on delivering a resounding victory.
“This is your candidate, your child born and raised here in Binga, please give him all the support he is one of you,” said Dr Obert Mpofu, Zanu pf Secretary for Administration.
The Binga North constituency seat fell vacant after Prince Dubeko Sibanda was recalled by the MDC-T party.
Meanwhile, the people of Binga North are eagerly awaiting the Zanu PF star rally set for the 19th, which will be addressed by the party’s President and First Secretary, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa at Siabuwa.
