Burna confirms participation at Independence Eve concert

GRAMMY award nominee and BET winner Burna Boy confirmed his participation at the Independence eve concert putting Zimbabwe’s showbiz industry in a frenzy with excitement.
The Nigerian Afro-fusion artist born Damini Ogulu but popularly known in the music circles as Burna boy is billed to perform in Zimbabwe on the 17th of April at a venue yet to be announced.
Show organizer, Elton Kurima is upbeat about Burna boy’s visit to Zimbabwe saying the visit is a huge endorsement for the local arts industry given that the Nigerian singer is one of the hottest properties in Africa commanding a huge following on social media.
“Burna Boy is the hottest artist currently and he has confirmed participation and it’s noble to bring him into the country now since he commands a huge following. Artists to perform alongside him will be chosen by fans through social media,” said Kurima.
Local artists to perform alongside Burna boy are yet to be revealed since they will be chosen by fans through social media platforms.
Burna boy rose to stardom in 2012 after the release of his hit song “Like to party”, and his star continued to shine earning him a BET award in 2019 for the Best International Act, and a Grammy nomination.
He is currently doing well with songs like ‘On the low’ and ‘Collateral damage’ and his latest album ‘African Giant’ is a favorite among his fans.
