Bulawayo City unveil new Coach

BOTTOM placed Premier Soccer League outfit Bulawayo City have reappointed Farai Tawachera as Head Coach, taking over from Philani Ncube who was shown the exit door on Monday over a string of poor results.

After interviews held on Tuesday, Bulawayo City have settled for Farai Tawachera as head coach, while Dalubuhle Bhebhe comes in as physical trainer for the club.

Speaking at a news conference to unveil the duo this Wednesday, Bulawayo City Secretary General, Advocate Prince Butshe Dube said they are confident the two will steer the club away from the murky waters of relegation.

“We have faith in the two gentleman we are unveiling here today. Tawachera has been with the club before thus he understands our values while Bhebhe will add value to the physical fitness component,” he said.

With a tough away assignment to log leaders Dynamos on Sunday, Tawachera says he is up for the challenge, describing Sunday’s game as a David versus Goliath affair.

“I have been here before. I want to finish what I started. I am aware we had little time to prepare for the Dynamos game but we are not going to give them easily,” said Tawachera.

Bhebhe is also confident of adding a new dimension through the physical conditioning of players.

Meanwhile, Bulawayo City have entered into a one-year kit sponsorship deal with Africa Bet valued at 30 thousand United States dollars.
