AMBITIOUS premier soccer league side, Bulawayo Chiefs are set to unveil former Cardiff mentor Nilton Terroso as their head coach.
Chiefs who severed ties with their technical team led by Thulani Sibanda last month have roped in experienced Portuguese gaffer, Nilton Terroso.
Terroso will be assisted by former Caps United and Harare City Assistant Coach, Mark Mathe and Farai Tawachera.
Bulawayo Chiefs Secretary-General Dumisani Sibanda could not give an affirmative answer saying the new coach is expected to be unveiled at the team’s training session next Tuesday.
However, Bulawayo Chiefs seemed to have confirmed the development on their Twitter page saying Terroso touched down at the Joshua Nkomo International Airport in the early hours of Thursday morning,
“Hallo Zimbabwe and The World, The Gaffer is here. Abashweeeeeeeee.”
The Ninjas are banking on the experience of Terroso who has coached SC Olhanense in Portugal and Welsh side Cardiff City to turn things around at the Bulawayo-based side that has found the going tough in the Chibuku Super Cup.
Meanwhile, Harare City will play ZPC Kariba at Baobab Stadium on Sunday in a rescheduled Chibuku Super Cup match which was postponed before the Covid-19 induced break.
