FOUR foreign coaches have been linked with the vacant coaching post at Bulawayo giants, Highlanders, after Mandla Mpofu was fired this week.
The departure of a coach at a big club like Highlanders usually results in the rumour mill going into overdrive and such is the situation at Bosso.
Four foreign coaches who had stints with Highlanders in the past, England’s Mark Harrison, Egyptian Mohammed Fathi, Dutchman Hendrikus Pieter de Jong and Zambian Kelvin Kaindu are understood to be interested in the job.
A well-placed source at the club told ZBC News that talks with one of the four coaches are at an advanced stage.
However, Highlanders fans prefer De Jong.
Highlanders parted ways with the Mandla Mpofu-led technical team on Tuesday, a situation which is reported to have divided the executive on the preferred successor.
