BULAWAYO giants, Highlanders have parted ways with their technical team led by Mandla Mpofu.
It has been a turbulent week for Highlanders which started with the abandonment of their match against Dynamos leading to the suspension of Premier Soccer League action for an indefinite period.
While the two issues might not be related, the Bulawayo Giants have gone on to fire the technical team led by Mandla Mpofu.
Highlanders Chairperson, Johnfart Sibanda confirmed the development but referred all questions to club Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Moyo who was not reachable.
Indications are that Mpofu and his colleagues were supposed to be informed of the decision at a technical meeting which failed to take place as scheduled this Monday as there was no quorum.
The writing was however on the wall with Mpofu’s pedigree to take Bosso to the next level being questioned after a poor start to the season.
Mpofu who was assistant to former Coaches Madinda Ndlovu and Mark Harrison was elevated to the hot seat but results have eluded him with Bosso in an unfamiliar twelfth position.
Joel Luphahla, who recently joined his boyhood club as an assistant coach, is reported to have survived the chop.
