Bosso edge spirited Caps United

By Lawrence Trusida

HIGHLANDERS came from behind to subdue a spirited Caps United at Barbourfields Stadium as the Bulawayo giants edged the Battle of the Cities 2-1 in an exciting encounter.

With much of the buildup of the match dominated by whether Caps United would fulfil the match at Barbourfields or not after a week of industrial action,  the Harare giants showed up.

Makepekepe started the match on fire sending a message to the club’s directors over unpaid dues.

The Harare giants dominated the match and it was no suprise when they took the lead, courtesy of another goal from William Manondo, his 15th of the campaign.

The Green Machine held on until halftime and that is when the script changed as Bosso came from the breather a different team.

Devine Mhindirira scored the equaliser before Washington Navaya confirmed the points for Highlanders with a late goal.

In other matches Herentals beat Tenax 3-1 at the National Sports Stadium while Manica Diamonds edged Cranborne Bullets 2-1 at Vhengere stadium.
