Beitbridge mourns legislator Singo

The Beitbridge community has been plunged into mourning following the death of ZANU-PF proportional representation legislator Lisa Singo this Thursday.
The 47 year legislator collapsed on Thursday morning and was taken to a local clinic where she died on admission.
In separate interviews with ZBC news, political leaders and family members described the late politician as a hard worker and a champion of women and children rights.
Zanu PF Matabeleland South officials described the late Singo as a selfless leader who always provided a bridge between the young and the old in.
“We have lost a great mother to the youth in the province. We knew that if we wanted something to be coordinated, we would assign her especially youth run projects,” said Rabelini Choeni, Zanu pf Chairman Matebeleland South.
“She was a great team player and championed a number of women and girls rights projects. She was a darling to many, a unifier in the district whom many shall over cherish her work”
“Cde Singo always made time to engage the youth and women. She was at the fore front of fighting crime and juvenile delinquencies among the youth.
Cde Singo’s elder sister, Ms Oma Sibanda said the family has lost a unifier and pillar of strength.”
“Despite being younger, she was a person who was always there for us and unified us whenever we had misunderstandings. Her death has left a huge gap in the family that will never be filled.”
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
