Arundel Hospital has partnered Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in the provision of comprehensive treatment and care for Covid-19 patients.
In a statement, Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals spokesperson Linos Dire said, “Arundel has refurbished and equipped Wards C1 and C2 to a total bed capacity of 60. They have also provided staff for the 2 wards. The total bed space for Covid care and treatment is 425 of which Arundel is currently giving service for 60.”
He said, “Covid services are free disregard of the ward one is admitted to. Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals continues with Covid screening, testing and admission of patients.”
According to Mr Dire, all suspected Covid-19 cases should go through our screening and testing process outside the Accident and Emergency Department.
“Confirmed Covid cases should be referred to Ward A2 where we have doctors to attend to them. Those who require admission are sent to the Covid Wards, depending on where space is available.
“It is our hope that this partnership will go a long way in improving the management of Covid patients at our hospital.”
