Mlalazi up for prestigious Crown Gospel Awards

Story by Colette Musanyera

ZIMBABWEAN gospel musician, Everton Mlalazi has been nominated for the prestigious Crown Gospel Awards slated for South Africa on the 26th of next month.

The Worship Therapy frontman continues to attract regional acclaim after being nominated for the 16th Crown Gospel Awards in the Best of Africa Gospel Artiste category.

The ‘Pfugama Unamate’ hitmaker will be battling it out with the likes of Sesame and Tsepo Lesola from Botswana, and Nigeria’s Ov Prince, in the category.

Dubbed ‘The Crowns’, the awards ceremony is set for Gauteng, South Africa on the 26th of November.

It is not the first time the multi-lingual musician has been recognised internationally after he recently won the coveted Africa Best Male Gospel Artiste Award at the prestigious CLIMA awards held in Nigeria early this month.

Meanwhile, Janet Manyowa is the only Zimbabwean artiste who has been awarded so far at the Crown Gospel Awards after scooping the Best of Africa Gospel Award in 2021
