Another tough encounter for Dynamos

By Anashe Murombedzi

TROUBLED Harare giants Dynamos face another uphill task when they host defending champions and log leaders, FC Platinum in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter set for the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

It is not looking good for Dynamos who have gone for three matches without a win with their last victory having been a three-nil win over CAPS United more than a month ago.

The goals have also dried up with Dynamos going for three matches without finding the back of the net.

During that same period, FC Platinum have moved from third to the top transforming themselves into real title favourites after opening up a five point lead over second placed Chicken Inn and 8 points clear of Dynamos who are third.

With 43 points, FC Platinum are on a seven game winning run in which they have been scoring for fun without conceding a single goal.

Match day 21 begins on Saturday with ZPC Kariba hosting Cranborne Bullets at Nyamhunga Stadium while Bulawayo City face Tenax at Barbourfields, with Ngezi Platinum welcoming CAPS United at Baobab Stadium.

Taurai Mangwiro will face his former club as Harare City take on Triangle United at the National Sports Stadium, Highlanders take their revival to Gweru for a date against Whawha at Ascot while Manica Diamonds play Herentals at Vengere Stadium in Rusape.

On Sunday, Bulawayo Chiefs and Chicken Inn clash in a Bulawayo derby of some sort at Luveve Stadium, Black Rhinos lock horns with Yadah at Vengere Stadium with the big match featuring Dynamos and FC Platinum at  the National Sports Stadium concluding the weekend fixtures.
