ALL is set for the 20th edition of the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) to be held at the Harare International Conference Centre this Saturday.
This year’s edition dubbed Zimbabwe and Beyond #Amalevels has seen the introduction of new categories which celebrate online creatives who made an impact in the absence of live shows during the Covid-19 induced lockdown.
“It is going to be exciting. We have a lot of surprises and we introduced new categories. This year’s edition has a category that honours creatives who used online platforms to keep people entertained when COVID-19 couldn’t allow physical shows to be held,” said Napoleon Nyathi, NAMA’s Executive Producer.
Organised by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe alongside Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation (JCMC), NAMA celebrates artists who are raising the country’s flag across various artistic disciplines on the local and international scene.
