By ZBC Reporter
Minnows, Sudan will be hoping to get inspiration from the likes of Comoros, Gambia and Malawi when they clash with record African champions Egypt in their final AFCON group D match tonight.

It will be a David versus Goliath affair, when Sudan play Egypt tonight, with the Sudanese hoping for nothing short of a famous upset to reach the last 16 of the continental football showpiece.

Sudan have a single point from two group matches and will overtake second placed Egypt if they win.

Another David and Goliath affair will be witnessed when Guinea Bissau, play Nigeria who are guaranteed top spot in group D.

Guinea Bissau could qualify if they win as they will take their points tally to 4.

Nigeria are guaranteed pole position as second placed Egypt will not be able to overtake them if they win due to the Super Eagles’ superior head to head record over the Pharaohs.

In Tuesday’s matches, minnows Comoros upset four-time champions, Ghana after posting a memorable 3-2 victory to dump the Black Stars out of the tournament, while Malawi are on the brink of qualification after their nil-all draw with Senegal left them among the teams likely to qualify on the best third placed teams route.
