A 40-year old man from Zvimba has appeared in court on allegations of stealing valuables after breaking car windows at traffic intersections.

Allegations are that the accused and his alleged accomplices, who are still at large, have been terrorising motorists at various traffic light intersections since December last year before they ran out of luck this month.

Dennis Maphosa appeared before Harare Magistrate Yeukai Dzuda charged with theft after getting away with valuables which include mobile phones and cash.

The stolen valuables are estimated to be worth US$5 thousand .

Meanwhile, Land developer, Joseph Murimwa who allegedly duped a home seeker of US$86 thousand will remain behind bars after his freedom bid hit a brick wall with the court ruling that he is not a proper candidate for bail.

The State argued that the accused who is expected back in court on the 7th of next month is likely to skip bail as he is facing multiple counts of fraud.

Still at the courts, four men; Obvious Fungulani aged 35, Gift Hupamba (47), Tawedzerwa Mashibha (33) and Moses Getsi (34) who allegedly stole chemicals from a local seed company worth more than ZIM$1 million have been denied bail after they admitted to the charges during their bail application.

The four are facing charges of unlawful entry after they allegedly broke into AGRISEEDS premises and got away with herbicides worth over a million Zimbabwe dollars.
